New Year 2017 :)

Image
In the spirit of the New Year 2017 I feel emboldened and humbled.  I see the future set before me, in front of us.     I have come across last year in 2016 tireless working hands and feet and voices, small and loud, who have so diligently and valiantly against fear and adversity raised the legal platform for the prevalence of justice, as well as, the growing desire for moral rectitude to preside.  In the year 2016 there has been a tremendous in-pour of souls working unitedly for Justice, Hope, Security and Peace.  In the midst of political instability among certain nations like parts of the Middle East, Africa, USA and UK I personally discovered when there are concerns of the day, the strongest tool people found was their Faith and their Family.   Faith is an umbrella for everyone to protect themselves for their family and we choose how we wear and hold our umbrella.  We choose to use our umbrella (our faith) to help ourselves and each other.  Family and faith is impo

Olympics 2016 Rio - Equality and Diversity!

Image
The Olympics this year in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) has been an exciting time for many sports fans! There are many reasons for why it is such an exciting time.  We have the chance to see our favourite olympians and sporting personalities win medals in the most stylish and exciting ways, like Usain Bolt, Mo Farah, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps, and many more, as well as seeing some rising stars like Max Whitlock, Gary and Paul O'donovan, and Joseph Schooling beating other expected medal winners!  It has also opened a window to accepting more of the differences in people between countries. Giving so many other countries the opportunities to participate and allowing a Refugee Team to participate as well, has shown the world a stronger meaning to the unifying process of the Olympics. Competitors are allowed to compete the way which is good for them, like Doaa El-Ghobashy a muslim woman from Egypt wearing hijab and not wearing a bikini for volleyball. Cultures and peoples are

O'England

England sweet be gently proud, Green forest hills glisten on you like sweat, Woodland wildlife filled with a flurry of flowers, Mellow as air; fresh as any bluebell or daffodil, tulip or daisy, Greenwich meantime as good in night as it is in day; Night more ambient than the sun, Stars twinkle like the eyes of two star-crossed lovers, English nightsky is scented with cool rain,  Morning praise comes in clouds like pillows through sun rays.

Theory of non-violence for Equality and Justice July 2016

Image
Non-violence is a theory and practice rooted in religion and civil disobedience.  The theory or practice of non-violence has long been contested as improbable or impossible, in a global society always in conflict.  Non-violent theorists and believers argue when there is already so much death and blood-shed, the oppressed have found far better solutions found with non-violence.  A large part of non-violent theory originates from the religion of Hinduism.  Non-violence is an internal belief built as a lifestyle choice.  It enables people to understand and appreciate the sanctity of all life, especially human life,  ahisma . Truth-force and love-force and moral-force are the components of  satyagraha,  which means “grasping love and truth” in its literal translation. However its meaning transcends further because of the work of Mohandas K Gandhi.  In 1931 he spoke, “I feel in the innermost recesses of my heart …that the world is sick unto death of blood-spilling. The worl

Fear of threat - Nice July 2016

Image
What occurred on 14th July 2016 in Nice during Bastille Day celebrations was a sheer tragedy of high proportion.  Many people, including children lost their lives.  Not only France mourns for its victims in Nice and its victims of 2015, but the whole world does as well.  President Vladimir Putin of Russia also sent a public message of condolence and solidarity. The unity of nations and people in such struggling times facing tragedy, is vital to helping France recover and manage from this tragic ordeal.  Prayers, thoughts, and words are shared during such times.  Peoples around the world must try and look forward after such difficult loss and tragedy, and celebrate the life of victims (everywhere) the best way they know.   Crimes of Hate and Violence are not messages which are symbolic of different peoples around the world.  They are sporadic, unimaginable and brutal.  They are actions of a violent and criminal mind. People in a functioning society question: "How and why i

U.S Police and Violence July 2016

Image
Alton Sterling For someone to be shot and killed whilst immobilised and bearing no immediate threat of force or violence should not go amiss in Civil Rights Justice Division. Police brutality especially when racially motivated must be strongly punished in the 'eyes of the law' and to prove to all US civilians the law does not let such reckless and unjustified behaviour go without punishment. All US police training guidelines would not have tolerated the actions of the two Baton Rouge officers and whatever their motivations, their grave actions have cost the life of a civilian which is irreversible damage. The backwards perception some US police officers have for such brutality should not be emblematic of police law enforcement because it is absolutely opposite to how officers should act and behave. All arrestees or suspects should be treated fairly and brutal excessive unjustified force should result in police officers being discharged from the police force together wi

Essay on Christian Opportunities and Challenges - Faced in a Postmodern and Pluralistic society June 2016

Introduction There are many challenges and opportunities we face in serving the ministry already.  We must learn so much on faith, love, hope, wisdom, peace, Christ, worship and praise.  How to assemble people in service, look after children, and run a service throughout the year.  In today’s postmodern and pluralistic society we see a society which has made leaps in its developments to protect people all over the world, through the use of religion and particularly Christianity.  Christian doctrine speaks on equality for all and love for all in humanity which is found in the Gospel of Matthew and Luke especially.  Jesus Christ’s teachings enables us to dismantle society’s problems and advance them through the eyes of Christianity in a deeper, modern and more inclusive meaningful sense. Changes and developments in ministry now such as Female priests and bishops and Gay priests have been huge advancements for the religion but it also has been symbolic of the changes in

Beauty of God through Her Eyes

Image
A beauty like none other unrivalled and unmatched she casts love and purity into the world and sees a gloriful bounteous Earth filled with undestroyable beauty.  She feels as if she floats on clouds; As though the wind carries her soft soul wherever she is needed. She finds exuberant faces reassuring her work is fulfilled and her strength grows with every gentle touch.  Her life is an emulation of her mother’s for she realises beauty is within. Everyday she thinks of her family and close friends and restores her faith Allah will continually guide her for them and her in a true and right direction.  Her love never fails and her dream for happiness never surrenders. She dreams happiness for people of the Earth and replenishes a thirst for freedom and peace. She sees a bounteous and prosperous future for all humanity.  Her love flows like the tide in tumults and she makes waves in her every move – waves of power and prowess, of prestige and pride.  Love lik
